— On Wednesday, Nov. 2, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Deckert of Newton attended the funeral of their niece, Cora Gale, eight-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam P. Deckert of Pawnee Rock. She died at St. Joseph Hospital where she had been for four days, ill with diabetes. She is survived by her parents, four sisters, one brother; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schmidt, and grandmother, Mrs. Susie Deckert, all of Pawnee Rock. Funeral services were held at the Bergthal Mennonite Church, with Rev. Victor Sawatzky officiating.
