MRS. ADINA NICKEL DECKERT

Mrs. Adina Nickel Deckert was born February 16, 1915, near Marion, South Dakota, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abe Nickel. She was baptized by Rev. Derk Tieszen in the Bethesda church near Marion, South Dakota.

She was united in marriage on September 6, 1936, to Lloyd Deckert of Richey, Montana. She joined the Bethlehem Mennonite church of Bloomfield, Montana in 1937. She and her husband moved to a farm 13 miles north of Circle in 1943, their present home.

Mrs. Deckert had been in ill health for some months and was hospitalized on January 30 of this year. She had returned home for a time, but her condition becoming worse, she returned to the Northern Pacific hospital at Glendive on March 24. She passed away at Glendive at 2 a. m. March 30 at the age of 34 years, one month and eight days.

Besides her husband, she leaves to mourn her loss three children, Roane Lee 10, James Lynn 7, Arlys Loy 6. Also surviving are the mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Abe Nickel, and four sisters and one brother, Mrs. Evelyn Wetkoski of St. Joseph, Michigan, Mrs. Selma Rozinski of St Joseph, Michigan, Mrs. Esther Deckert of San Antonio, Texas, Mrs. Violet Schwartz of Marion, South Dakota, and Alvin Nickel, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, besides a host of relatives and friends. (Two of her sisters were not able to be present at the funeral.)

Mrs. Deckert was a highly esteemed matron of the Circle community and a fine Christian wife and mother. Her loss will be greatly felt by all who knew her.

Pallbearers were Alvin Deckert, Joe Deckert, Harry Boese, Raymond Senner. George G. Dick officiated at the burial.
