Services Held For Former Teacher at Mennonite Schools

Hillsboro, Kan. — Funeral services for Abraham Dalke, 76, retired teacher and church worker, were conducted June 20 at the Ebenfeld M. B. Church near here.

Mr. Dalke retired in 1958 after having taught in elementary schools and on the secondary level at Freeman Junior college, Freeman, S. D., and Mennonite Collegiate Institute, Gretna, Manitoba. He was a graduate of Tabor Academy and Tabor college, and received the Master's degree in education from Kansas University. He was long active in the Hillsboro M. B. Church and later in the Ebenfeld Church.

Mr. Dalke was found dead early Monday, June 17, at the farm home near here, with death apparently due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He had been in failing health for some time.
