● Elma Richert Crockett, 75, a Newton native, died Feb. 26 in Topeka, where she had been living since 1938. Born in Newton, she was the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Peter H. Richert. In 1935 she married Renwick N. Crockett, who survives. Other survivors include a sister, Stella Richert of Newton, and two brothers, Anton S. of Mandeville, Jamaica, and Sam of Wichita. Memorial services were held Mar. 1 at the Potwin Presbyterian Church in Topeka.
