Frances R. Corbin

Mrs. Frances R. Corbin, 86, 1124 Walnut, died Friday at the Halstead Nursing Center where she had lived since Dec. 15, 1972.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a. m. at the Draper-Cannon Funeral home with Rev. Loren Rovenstine of the Golden Plains Free Methodist Church in charge. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Calling time at the funeral home is this evening and all day Sunday.

Mrs. Corbin is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Martha Jane) Prowell, Council Grove; a sister, Mrs. Alta Miller, Otascosa, Tex.; and by four grandchildren. A son, Howard, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Corbin was born Dec. 15, 1889 at Marion, the daughter of Samuel and Suzanna Holdeman Pletcher, and was married to Howard H. Corbin in Newton Feb. 4, 1910. He died June 30, 1974. She was a member of the Golden Plains church.
