— Rev. and Mrs. J. E. Kaufman and Mrs. Phyllis Bartel Regier of Inman looked after some business in town Monday afternoon. While on the way to Newton they attended the funeral of T. J. Cooprider at the Hesston College chapel that afternoon. Mr. Cooprider passed away at his home in Hesston Saturday, Feb. 16. Perhaps few in McPherson or Harvey county can equal his record as rural and grade teacher when it comes to length of service in that profession. He reached the age of 74 years, had been blind for some time and seriously ill since February 3. He is survived by his wife and six children.
