RAYMOND I. CONRAD

Raymond Ira Conrad, son of Joseph and Fanny Krabill [sic Kraybill] Conrad, was born on Sept. 19, 1892 near Alliance, Ohio and died suddenly March 20, 1972, at his home in Louisville, Ohio.

On Oct. 19, 1920 he married Mattie Stutzman of Aurora, Ohio. They lived in that community for seven years before returning to his home farm. To Raymond and Mattie were born three children: Naomi Ulrich of Pomeroy, Iowa, Cletus of Orville, and Gerald of Alliance. He was employed in farming and industry until 1966 when he retired and moved to Lousville.

Raymond was baptized into the fellowship of the Beech Mennonite Church on May 12, 1908. He was a faithful member of the congregation, contributing to its life and ministry, serving on the board of trustees and witnessing through his consistent Christian life and example.

Besides his companion and three children, he is survived by seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and one sister, Mrs. Ralph (Irene) Shaffer. One sister, Edith, predeceased him.
