Obituary—Mrs. Myra Chambers

Mrs. Myra Chambers passed away at 12:00 p. m., Jan. 13, 1929, at the home of her son Wallace Chambers, 624 South East Third, Newton, Kas., after an illness of three weeks. She was born at Bloomington, Ind., Aug. 6, 1853. She came to Kansas about 1879. She spent most of her life in Sedgwick and Butler counties. She united with the Methodist church when a small child and lived a consistent Christian [sic] to the end. She was a kind neighbor, loyal companion and devoted mother.

She is survived by five sons, Wallace, Newton, Herbert, Derby, Edgar and Earl, Wichita and Victor, El Dorado.

Funeral services will be held at Zion M. E. Church, Wichita, Wednesday at 1:00 p. m., and interment will be in Brainerd cemetery. Friends may see Mrs. Chambers at the residence, 624 South East Third, any time until the family leaves for Wichita.
