THOMAS GRAHAM CAVERS

Thomas Graham Cavers of La Riviere, Man. passed away May 29. He was born June 12, 1915 to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cavers in Pilot Mound, Man., where he grew up and attended school. In 1940 he married Florence Houston. They farmed near La Riviere, retiring into town in 1973. He continued to lend a hand on the farm, served as administrator of the La Riviere Lodge and enjoyed gardening. In March, 1972 he invited Christ into his life and was baptized. He gained many Christian friends who were a source of strength and encouragement throughout his illness. He is remembered as a caring friend, loving husband, father and grandfather, and constant strength for his family. His grandchildren gave him much joy. Predeceased by 1 brother, he is mourned by his wife; sons Ernie of La Riviere , Lloyd of Neepawa, Man. and Lawrence of Manitou, Man.; daughters Judy Cruise and Glenda Scurfield of Winnipeg; and 13 grandchildren. The funeral was June 1 in Manitou MB Church, with George Toews ministering.
