MRS. FANNIE BYLER

Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie Byler, 89, were held Nov. 7, at 2:30 p.m., in the Pleasant View Mennonite church, southeast of Thomas, Okla., of which she was a member. Rev. Alva Swartzendruber officiated.

Mrs. Byler passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Shantz, on Friday evening, Nov. 4, after a six-month illness.

Mrs. Byler was born at New Willmington [sic Wilmington], Pa., on June 8, 1871.

On Dec. 3, 1891, in the Amish church at New Willmington [sic Wilmington], she was married to Benjamin Byler. In 1906 they came to Oklahoma, settling near Thomas, where she lived the remainder of her life. Her husband preceded her in death in 1934.

She is survived by her daughter, with whom she made her home, one granddaughter, Miss Ina Shantz, Tulsa, Okla.; two grandsons, Melvin Shantz of Thomas, and Marvin Shantz, Hydro, Okla.; four great grandchildren, and one brother, Enoch Zook of New Willmington [sic Wilmington], Pa. One granddaughter, Miss Grace Shantz, preceded her in death in 1944. — Correspondent.
