Boy Drowned in Ocean At Lynn Haven, Virginia.

Belleville, Pa., July 30. — On last Friday morning, Mr. Jonas D. Byler of Menno township received the sad news of the drowning of his brother, Clarence Byler, in the ocean near his home at Lynn Haven, Virginia. He with some other boy friends went for a swim to a sand bar, and was seized with cramp and before his companions could rescue him, drowned. He was an expert swimmer but with cramp and a rising tide, he went down to a watery death.

Clarence was the son of John A. Byler who resided for a time near Belleville at the Kauffman place now occupied by Mr. Edward Peters and family. He was fourteen years of age and leaves his parents and several brothers and sisters to mourn his death.

His brother Jonas, wife and child attended the funeral on last Saturday at Lynn Haven, Virginia.Mr. Gordon Grassmyer conveyed them on their sorrowful journey. — Belleville Times.
