Services For Amish Boy Largely Attended

Dover, Del. — Largely attended funeral services took place in the Amish settlement here March 16 for Allen Byler, 17-year-old son of Adam H. and Saloma Byler who was killed in a traffic accident. The services were conducted at two farms — those of Jonas J. Hershberger and Reuben A. Byler.

Allen was returning home alone in a horse-drawn buggy early Monday morning when it was hit by a tractor-trailer while crossing the highway. It is thought he may have fallen asleep. The buggy was demolished and the horse was killed. The youth died soon after admittance to the hospital.
