MRS. MARTHA BULLER

Mr. [sic] Martha Schmidt Buller, Orange Cove, California, daughter of J. R. F. and Elizabeth (Franz) Schmidt was born February 1, 1904 at Goessel, Kansas.

In 1919, she moved with her parents to Mingo, Kansas where she lived for the next 17 years. Here she was baptized and married. She was baptized upon her confession of faith that Jesus Christ was her Saviour, at the hands of the Rev. P. H. Unruh. On Sept. 25, 1927 she entered holy wedlock with Arthur Buller, the Rev. P. P. Buller officiating. This union was blessed with four children.

In 1936 the family moved to the Reedley, California area and since 1940 resided at Orange Cove. After having come to California they transferred their church membership to the First Mennonite Church of Reedley, where they remained faithful members.

About a year ago she became afflicted with a malignant tumor. Her last months caused her great pain and suffering. She passed away to enter the glories awaiting God's children, May 22, 3:45 a.m. at the Reedley Hospital at the age of 52 years.

She was a very good wife and mother giving guidance and inspiration to all. Her tender care and godly motherhood will be greatly missed. She leaves to mourn her early departure: Her husband, Arthur; one son, Omar Gene, Fresno; three daughters, Mrs. Doris Anderson, Reedley, Della, Mrs. Charles Wallace, Orosi, and Helen at home; six grandchildren; her mother Mrs. J. R. F. Schmidt, Goessel, Kansas; four sisters, Frieda, Mrs. Henry Schmidt and Tena, Mrs. Dan Janzen of Goessel, Kansas, Marie, Mrs. J. L. Pankratz, Canton, Kansas, Louise, Mrs. Rollins Krehbiel, Newton, Kansas; four brothers, Dan, Walton, Kansas, Menno, Shafter, California, Jacob, Wasco, California, and Sam of Newton, Kansas; and a large number of relatives and friends.

Rev. Aaron J. Epp officiated at the funeral services, using Proverbs 31:25-31 as text. a men's quartet sang.
