TWO YEAR OLD CHILD DROWNS IN CISTERN AT GRETNA, MAN.
Altona, Manitoba. — Funeral services were held at the United church in Gretna on Jan. 4 for Mark Dale Buhr, two year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence P. Buhr who drowned in a cistern at the parents' farm.
The mother had sent the child outside to play, and about 10 minutes later noticed that the boy was missing and the cover over the cistern had been pushed aside. The father and a neighbor recovered the body, and artificial respiration was applied, but to no avail.
