ANNIE E. DYCK BUHLER


Annie E. Dyck Buhler died peacefully Mar. 16 after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Winkler, Man. to Jacob and Bertha Dyck, and at an early age felt called by God to be a missionary. In 1945, Annie was ordained and left for mission service in Colombia where she worked for many years, training church leaders and teaching people of all ages in a variety of settings. She took a BA in Spanish, then served further in Texas, Panama, and Colombia. In retirement, Annie found a partner in Sam Buhler, and gained children and grandchildren. She was a loving friend and family member, a committed Christian leader, and a faithful follower of Jesus. Predeceased by Sam in 2001; she is mourned by children Sandra (Vern) Loewen, Larry (Marilyn), Sharlene (Brian) Craig; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 siblings. The celebration of life service was Mar. 19 at Forest Grove Community Church, Saskatoon.
