LUSETTIE BUERGE

Lusettie Steele, daughter of Chas. and Maryette Steele, was born in Lucas county, Ohio, on February 7, 1873, and passed away December 4, 1950, at the age of 77 years, nine months and 27 days. She died at the home of A. H. Leatherman, Harrison, Mich., where she had made her home for over three years.

In 1895 she was married to Hanamns [sic Hanamus] Allman. To this union were born seven children, four sons and three daughters. Two sons and one daughter preceded her in death. Her husband passed to his reward on December 10, 1915. She was married to J.M.G. Buerge on May 28, 1921. He suddenly passed away on Thanksgiving day in 1942.

She leaves to mourn her passing two sons and two daughters, George of Owosso, Mrs. Cary Peters and Harold of Harrison, and Mrs. Wm. Campbell of Bay City, also 27 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren who loved her dearly. Her brothers and sisters preceded her in death.

She was converted and joined the church of God in Christ Mennonite in 1919, remaining a faithful member until her death. She was a kind and devoted mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services were held from the Mennonite church near Harrison on Thursday, December 7, 1950. Rev. Reno Hibner and Rev. Glen Litwiller officiated. Text Job 19:25, 27 and I Peter 3:4. Burial was made at Farwell.
