Personnel Official Dies in Arizona

Phoenix, Ariz. — Leroy J. Brenneman, 69, who was prominent in personnel work in Phoenix and the state of Arizona for many years, died here Feb. 27.

Mr. Brenneman was personnel director for the City of Phoenix from 1942 until his retirement in 1970. At the time of his death he was president of the Arizona State Personnel Commission, president of the board of Arizona Blue Cross, and member of the Comprehensive Health Planning Council of Maricopa County.

A native of Kalona, Iowa, he was a graduate of Hesston College (Kansas) and Colorado College at Colorado Springs. Survivors include his widow, Euta; a son, John; two brothers and four sisters.

He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, where the funeral was conducted on March 2.
