CHRISTIAN B. BRENEMAN

Christian B. Breneman of Route 2, Elida, Ohio was born in Sugarcreek Township on Jan. 30, 1889; passed away at the Memorial Hospital in Lima July 11, 1960 at the age of 72 years, five months, and 11 days.

Mr. Breneman had been enjoying reasonably good health for the past few months but became seriously ill on Thursday, July 7. However, he had been in failing health for the past two years.

On April 20, 1911 he was united in marriage to Rose E. Berry. He leaves, besides his companion, two sons, Clark and Charles of Route 2, Elida; seven daughters, Lois, Mrs. Richard Ashton, of Lima, Ohio, Edna, Mrs. Vernon Swartz of Route 2, Delphos, Ohio, Mary, Mrs. Joseph Nyikas of South Bend, Ind., Emma, Mrs. Wilbert Smucker of West Liberty, O., Eunice, Mrs. Bruce Rumble of Scott, Ohio, Helen, Mrs. Herman Parent of Lima, and Ann, Mrs. John Meier of Lima; 28 grandchildren; two brothers, Alvin M. of Route 3, Elida, and George A. of Delaware, Ohio; and two sisters, Ruth, Mrs. Glen Yoder of Orrville, Ohio and Naomi, Mrs. Henry Ross of Columbiana, Ohio.

He had been a member of the Central Mennonite Church of Elida for many years. He was an ardent lover of music and always participated heartily in congregational singing when he could be present.

Funeral services were in charge of Ivan Weaver, Menno Troyer, and Andrew Brenneman. Burial was in Salem cemetery north of Elida.
