MRS. JOHN BRADER

Mrs. Mary (Kunkel) Brader of 1435 “F” Street, Reedley, Calif., daughter of Fred Kunkel and Katie Barm [sic Katharina Born], was born Sept. 15, 1886, at Parker, South Dakota.

She was baptized upon her confession of faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior Oct. 24, 1909, at Marion, South Dakota by Rev. Dietrich Thiessen and received as member of Bethesda Mennonite Church.

She entered holy wedlock with John Brader June 30, 1913, at Parker, South Dakota, Rev. S. Finkbeiner officiating. They started their married life on a farm near Alsen, North Dakota and after a number of years settled as Shafter, Calif. Before coming to Reedley in 1947 they lived a few years at Campbell, Calif.

She joined the First Mennonite Church of Reedley April 18, 1954.

She had been failing in health the last few months. Sunday morning, March 15, 1959, she was taken to the Reedley hospital and passed away at 2:00 p.m.

She leaves to mourn her sudden passing her husband John; one brother Jake of Dallas, Oregon; four nephews and two nieces.

Funeral services were held at the First Mennonite Church of Reedley on March 17 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Aaron J. Epp officiating. Burial was made in the Reedley cemetery.
