JOHN BOYCHOOK

Funeral services were held on September 14, at Lodi, California for John Boychook who passed away on September 10, after an extended illness. He was 73 years of age.

John Boychook was born in Popielinki, Galicia, Poland, on September 7, 1893, migrated to Woodrow, Saskatchewan in 1913, and moved to Lodi, California in 1947, where he was employed by the Super Mold Corporation.

He received the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour in 1915, was baptized upon confession of his faith and became a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church, in which he has served his Lord as choir director and in other capacities.

In 1923 he married Carrie Grose who was his faithful and loving wife until his decease. Left to mourn are his wife; three children, Mrs. Leslie Inkster (Calgary), Edwin (Ventura, California), and Mrs. George Davis (Santa Monica, California); six grandchildren; five stepchildren, Irwin Grose (Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan), Clifford (Winnipeg), Luella Tebeau (Regina), Ernest (Calgary), Mrs. Milton Ollenberger (LaFleche, Manitoba); and eleven step grandchildren.

The last few years of his life were years of infirmity, suffering and limitation. Now he is present with the Lord and the family find comfort in the verses of John 14: 1-3.
