FATHER OF ELEVEN CHILDREN KILLED WHILE WORKING IN TIMBER
Goshen, Ind. — While cutting logs in some timber southeast of here Nov. 9, Melvin D. Borkholder of the Etna Green community apparently was struck in the head by a large limb and died instantly. There were no witnesses to the accident, and the body was found by a fellow worker, Joe Stutzman, 19.
A member of the Amish church, he is survived by his wife, the former Amanda Miller; 11 children, all of the home; his father and step[-mother, David J. Borkholders; and grandparents, Jacob Borkholders.
