— A large funeral was held Saturday afternoon at the First Baptist church of Newton for Mrs. Ralph Bontrager, who together with her infant son, passed away early last Thursday evening, August 10. She and her husband had made their home in Newton during the summer months, but within a few weeks expected to move back to Inman, where Mr. Bontrager has a teaching position. The funeral was attended by a large number of friends from Inman, McPherson, Hesston, who came to show their sympathy to the young husband in his bereavement. His departed wife was 24 years of age.
