Member of Eastern Mission Board Dies

Lancaster, Pa. — A heart ailment proved fatal recently to Elam Bomberger, 60, well-known bank employee at Mount Joy and an active worker in the Mennonite (Old) Church.

Death came at the Lancaster General Hospital nine months after suffering a heart attack. Funeral services were conducted at the Mount Joy Mennonite church.

Mr. Bomberger was cashier of the First National Bank and Trust Company in Mount Joy, having been employed by the bank since 1918. He was superintendent of the Sunday school of the Mount Joy church and a member of the Eastern Board of Missions and Charities.

Survivors include his wife, the former Violet Rohrer, and four sons.

The family asked that flowers be omitted at the funeral, and suggested that friends make memorial contributions to the Eastern Board, whose headquarters are at Salunga, Pa.
