BISHOP PERRY J. BLOSSER SERVED IN MINISTRY OVER FIFTY-ONE YEARS

Wellman, iowa. — Bishop Perry J. Blosser, 83, a widely known retired minister, died at his home in South English on May 25. Death was due to heart failure.

Born in Dale Enterprise, Va., June 16, 1876, Bishop Blosser grew up in that community but moved to Iowa in the fall of 1906. He was a minister in the Liberty Church near South English, where he also was ordained in 1907. He was ordained as bishop in 1927 and was active in the ministry for over 51 years.

He was at one time a member of the Mennonite Board of Education and moderator of the Iowa-Nebraska district conference.
