Oldest Resident of Kidron, O. Dies
Kidron, Ohio. — Funeral services were conducted at the Sonnenberg Mennonite church near here April 14 for John D. Bixler, oldest resident of this Swiss Mennonite community who died at the age of 93.
Active and in fairly good health until about 10 days before his death, Mr. Bixler died April 11 at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Lehman where he made his home.
He was born here Aug. 9, 1866, and became a member of the Sonnenberg church at the age of 19. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are two sons, six daughters, 30 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Dan Hofstetter and Mrs. Mart Moser of Orrville.
