FREDERICK E. BIXLER

Frederick E. Bixler, son of John S. and Barbara (Huber) Bixler, was born near Wakarusa, Ind. on May 7, 1885 and passed away June 2, 1962 at Westview Convalescent Home in Elkhart, Ind., aged 77 years and 25 days.

He never married. He had gone to the Home only two weeks before his death, but had been in poor health for a number of years.

In December 1956 he accepted the Lord and was baptized in his home by Bro. C. A. Shank and received into the Mennonite Church. He longed to go Home and be at rest. He was often heard to sing during the night, and when he was suffering he would sing to relieve his suffering.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John Henry and Bishop J. K. Bixler; and one sister, Anna Bixler.

Remaining are one sister, E. Matilda Hershberger, and one niece, Esther M. Brower of Phoenix, Ariz.

Funeral services were conducted at the Lienhart Funeral Home in Wakarusa on June 4, 1962 by C. A. Shank and Simon Gingerich. Burial was made in Olive Cemetery.
