PROMINENT BLUFFTON, OHIO RESIDENT DIED AT AGE 83
Bluffton, Ohio. — Dr. D. C. Bixel, widely known and respected resident here, died at his home on Oct. 10 at the age of 83. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday at the First Mennonite church.
Dr. Bixel had been an optometrist here for over 50 years, had served as village treasurer, and was chorister at the First church for 20 years. He was also an amateur artist and produced many oil paintings.
He leaves a son, Dr. Gordon Bixel, and three daughters.
