MARGARET M. BENNER

Margaret Mae Benner, 73, was born May 18, 1911, at Spring City, Pa., to Horace and Anna Kolb Longacre. She died May 2, 1985, at her home in Harrisonburg, Va. She was a member of Bethany Mennonite Church.

On Dec. 28, 1932, she was married to Paul Y. Benner, who survives.

Her husband served as deacon of the Pottstown (Pa.) Mennonite Church, 1950-1967. After 1967, they served the church for a number of years in British Columbia, and later moved to Harrisonburg.

Other survivors include two sons, Richard L. Benner of Harrisonburg and Stanley L. Benner of Terra Cotta, Ont.; three daughters, Beatrice Benner of Vanderhoof, British Columbia, Florence Wittmer, of El Dorado Springs, Mo., and Louise Baerg of Winnipeg; five sisters, Mable Nigh of Stevensville, Ont., Lillian Strunk of Spring City, Pa., Edith Yoder of Delmar, Md., Esther Longacre of Harrisonburg and Anna Pearl Hostetler of Souderton, Pa.; and nine grandchildren.

Services were held at Bank Mennonite Church, Dayton, Va., and at Vincent Mennonite Church, Spring City, Pa., where interment took place.
