SERVICES HELD FOR FATHER OF THREE
Shipshewana, Ind. — Funeral services for Jonas M. Bender, 38, were held at the East Goshen Mennonite church Jan. 31, with the pastor, Rev. Paul Miller, officiating.
Mr. Bender was found dead at his home on Jan. 28 after taking an over dose of medicine, and the coroner returned a verdict of suicide. Other members of the family had been absent from the home during the day.
He is survived by is [sic his] wife, the former Verna Mae Hochstetler, and three daughters, age 8, 6 and 2.
