Bank Official Dies

Goshen, Ind. — Funeral services for David c. Bender, 51, vice-president of St. Joseph Valley Bank in Elkhart, were held at the Hartzler-Gutermuth Funeral Home there on Dec. 31, with Rev. J. Herbert Fretz officiating.

Mr. Bender died Dec. 28 at his Elkhart home after an extended illness.

A native of Springs, Pa., he was a graduate of Goshen College and the University of Wisconsin School of Banking. He was chairman of the board of the Eighth Street Mennonite Church, Goshen.

Survivors include his widow, Velma, a son and daughter, and his mother, Mrs. Annie R. Bender of Springs, Pa.
