4-Year-Old Boy Darts Into Path of Truck
Leola, Pa. — Four-year-old Daniel Beiler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel R. Beiler, was fatally injured May 13 in a traffic accident on busy Route 472 in front of his home.
The boy and his father, who were passengers in a pickup truck, dismounted at their lane. As the father crossed the highway to get the mail, the boy saw his older brothers and sister returning from school and ran to meet them. As he did so he was hit by another pickup truck.
Funeral services were held May 15 at the home of the boy's uncle.
