John "Jim" Beck, 84, died on Jan. 13. He married Alma Nofziger, who preceded him in death on Oct. 23, 1979. A member of West Clinton Mennonite Church, he is survived by his second wife, Sylvia; three sons, Robert, James and William G.; three daughters, Pauline (Mrs. Milton) Stauffer, Lois (Mrs. Martin) Rufenacht and Carolyn (Mrs. Leo) Bateman; a stepson, John Merillat; three stepdaughters, Evelyn (Mrs. Raymond) Fenton, Lois (Mrs. Ronald) May and Elaine (Mrs. Bryan) Noe; 18 grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
