TWO AMISH CHILDREN BURNED TO DEATH IN BASEMENT HOME
Sugarcreek, Ohio. — Double funeral services were conducted Sunday, Sept. 16 at the Enos B. Beachy residence for two little grandchildren of the Beachys who perished in a fire in their basement home on the Beachy farm.
Roy, nearly three years of age and Erma, 18 months, children of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Beachy, lost their lives when a can of gasoline upset and the fumes were ignited by the flame of a kerosene refrigerator. Their mother and five-year-old Miriam escaped.
