Farmer Killed in Fall From Hay Wagon
PAUL N. BEACHY, 39, DIES IN ACCIDENT NEAR MEYERSDALE, PA.
Meyersdale, Pa. — Funeral services were held at Summit Mills near here Feb. 10 for Paul N. Beachy, 39-year-old Amish farmer of Route 1, Meyersdale, who was believed instantly killed in a fall from a hay wagon on Saturday, Feb. 7.
The young farmer, father of four children, had gone to Summit Mills for a load of loose hay. En route home the load apparently began to slip to one side, and Beachy either jumped or fell off the wagon. The body was found in the middle of the macadam road.
He leaves his wife Katie, four young children, his aged father, Noah Beachy of Oakland, Md., and eight brothers and sisters.
