O. E. Baumgartner, 86, who was severely injured in a farm-related accident and stroke Dec. 29, passed away march 15. He is survived by his wife, Elda, who is in the nursing home in Versailles; a son, Ed; a daughter, Dorothy Lee Baer of St. Charles; three brothers, Wade and Neal, both of Versailles and Roy of Durand, Ill.; a sister, Alice Aeschbacher of Versailles; and seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held March 17 at the church, with pastor Bruno Penner officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
