Native Kansan Dies At Drake, Saskatchewan

Drake, Sask. — Funeral services were held at the North Star Mennonite Church here Nov. 17 for Mrs. Valentine Bartel, 70, a member of the community for nearly 50 years.

Mrs. Bartel, the former Anna Ewert, was born Feb. 1, 1891, at Hillsboro, Kan., where she spent her youth.

She is survived by her husband, Valentine Bartel, two sons, one daughter, and many other close relatives and friends.
