Two Young People Die in Southern Minnesota Crashes
Mt. Lake, Minn. — Auto accidents recently claimed the lives of two area young people.
Inez Ruth Klassen, 18-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Klassen of rural Mt. Lake, was fatally injured in a car-truck crash the morning of June 24 at an intersection of country roads. The car she was driving was hit by a gravel truck. She died the same evening at the local hospital.
Funeral services were held June 26 at the Bethel Mennonite church, with Rev. Harris Waltner and Rev. Ardean Goertzen in charge.
On the morning of June 12 Bruce Baerg, 18-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Baerg of Bingham Lake, was fatally injured in a one-car accident while on his way to work in Jackson. His car left a county road, hit a driveway approach and a telephone pole. He was dead on arrival at the Jackson hospital.
