AGANETHA BAERG

(Mrs.) Aganetha Baerg was born on March 24, 1885 in South Russia. Her parents were Abram and Katharine (nee Heide) Enns. She was married to Isaac Baerg in 1907. During the revival in Russia she accepted the Lord as her personal Saviour. In 1925 she and her husband came to Canada, making their home near Steinbach, Manitoba, where she was later baptized upon her confession of faith and accepted into the Mennonite Brethren Church.

In 1937 they moved to Vineland, Ontario, where they lived until four years ago, when her husband was suddenly called home to be with the Lord. Since then she has made her home with her children, the John Andres family in St. Catharines. She always spent much time in prayer and fellowship with her Lord.

She enjoyed good health until a few years ago when weaknesses began to set in. Two weeks ago, she suddenly had to be admitted to the hospital where even with the best of care her strength failed day by day. She passed away on May 16, having reached the age of 84.

She leaves to mourn her passing four children with their families, Mrs. Agnes Janzen of Grimsby, Mrs. John (Erna) Andres of St. Catharines, Willie of Kitchener, Mrs. John (Frieda) Wall of Winnipeg; two son-in-law; one daughter-in-law; 12 grandchildren; one sister, Marie Wiens in Brazil; and many relatives and friends.
