text of obituary:

MRS. MARIE HORSCH BAER

Mrs. Marie Horsch Baer was born in Goldesheim, Baiern, Germany on July 12, 1872. In her youth she resolved to become a nurse, but the condition of her health required a different climate and she left the place of her birth for an indefinite visit to the Pacific Coast in the United States in 1897.

In 1899, August 29, she was married to Rudolph Baer, an Adelaide rancher. She now dedicated her life completely to her family and those surrounding her. In 1904 the family moved to Estrella, Calif., in 1898 to Upland, and in 1919 to Strathmore, returning to the Paso Robles area in 1929 and to the Atascadero vicinity in 1936.

Mrs. Baer has been ill for some time; however she bore it all patiently. Very quietly, she passed to her Lord and Redeemer, in whom she fully believed, Friday, August 17.

Funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. M. J. Galle, Monday morning, August 20. She leaves to mourn her passing her beloved husband, Rudolph Baer, seven sons, two daughters, and eight grandchildren. She attained an age of 79 years, one month, five days.

She was a faithful member of the First Mennonite church at Paso Robles, California from which place her last services were also conducted.
