MRS. ANNA HIEBERT BAER

Mrs. Anna Hiebert Baer, daughter of Frank W. and Elisabeth Hiebert, was born on Sept. 18, 1889, at Bingham Lake, Minn. In October 1938 they moved to Salem, Oregon where she was called to be with the Lord on Oct. 25, 1953, at the age of 64 years, one month and seven days.

She was baptized on the confession of her faith by Rev. H. H. Regier in 1912 and united with the Bethel Mennonite church at mt. Lake, Minn. At the time of her departure she was a member of Grace Mennonite church at Dallas, Oregon.

She was married to August Baer in 1912 and could share joys and sorrows with him for 41 years. This union was blessed with four children, one son and three daughters.

Mrs. Baer took much interest in working for the causes of missions and relief. She spent much time sewing for such causes and to interest others in this work to help those in need. Even to the day when she took sick, this was her chief concern.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, August; one son, David Baer, Buffalo, New York; three daughters, Mrs. Silas Perlich of Brooks, Oregon, Mrs. Ella Rogers and Mrs. Esther Peters, both of Portland Oregon; three sisters, Mrs. A. D. Wall and Mrs. Fred Yarger, both of Mt. Lake, Minn., and Miss Linda Hiebert of St. Paul, Minn.; and eight grandchildren.

During the last years of her life her health began to fail and she was subject to much suffering, but as a Christian she was resigned to the will of the Lord and left this testimony, that she was glad to depart and be with the Lord.
