JANICE LYNETTE ANDROES

Janice Lynette Androes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Androes, was born at Newton, Kansas, on July 1, 1947.

Her stay on this earth was brief — eight years, eight months and eight days. The Lord took her home on Friday morning, March 9, 1956.

Janice enjoyed normal health during the greater portion of her life. During the winter of 1955 she became ill and was admitted to the hospital. The diagnosis revealed her illness to be leukemia. However, she responded very favorably to treatment, so that she was able to return home and live a normal life for a number of months. She enrolled in school last September and enjoyed her work very much. However, shortly after the first of the year it became apparent that her old troubles were returning. From that time on she gradually became weaker.

Among other things, Janice took a great interest in Sunday school, as well as her mid-week Bible class where she learned of the Lord Jesus in whose arms she is now resting. Though her hope was to get well she expressed a preparedness to go to the arms of Jesus.

She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Androes, one brother Norman and his wife Judith, four sisters, Romielda, Loretta, Karen, and Barbara; also the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben A. Koehn, all of Newton. Her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Androes, preceded her in death.

Though her life was short, she has endeared herself to many. We are confident that God has done that which He thought wise, for His ways are higher and better than our ways.
