GEORGE C. ANDREWS

George C. Andrews died Sept. 5. He was born June 11, 1922 to Cornelius and Anna Andrews in Mariawohl, Ukraine. The family immigrated to Arnaud, Man. In 1936 they moved to Vineland, Ont. In 1941 he was baptized and joined the church. In 1942 he joined the army and was honourably discharged 19 months later. He married Frieda Hiebert in Oct. 1944. He was plant foreman for Boise Foods Canning Factory and later was a mink rancher. After retirement he drove for Laskey's Limousine Service. He took pleasure in the ordinary things of life. He enjoyed coffee shop fellowship and pool games. He had a good sense of humour and collected stories, poems and jokes. Predeceased by 1 daughter at birth, 1 grandson, 2 brothers, 1 sister, he is mourned by daughters Sheila Durksen, Kathy Andrews, Sharlene Andrews, Carol Andrews; son Wayne Andrews; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; 1 brother. The funeral was Sept. 8 in Fairview MB Church.
