MRS. CAROLINE AMSTUTZ

The Sonnenberg (Ohio) community was shocked on Sunday morning, Feb. 4, when the news came of the death of Mrs. Caroline (Lehman) Amstutz, widow of Bishop C. N. Amstutz, who passed on five years ago. She died on Saturday evening February 3, after an illness of only a few hours at the home south of Kidron. She was 76 years of age. She was a member of the Sonnenberg Mennonite church since her youth and her church and her husband's work was near and dear to her.

She leaves six daughters, 35 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, a large number of nephews an nieces and a host of friends.

Funeral services took place on Tuesday afternoon, February 6, at the Sonnenberg Mennonite church. Her pastor, Bishop Louis Amstutz, assisted by Rev. Stanford Mumaw, of the Martin Mennonite church, officiated.

The burial was beside her husband in the cemetery at the church.
