. . .

— Residents of this area were shocked and saddened on Sept. 21 when the body of 12-year-old Kelley Lynn Albright of Hutchinson was found in a field near a country road three miles east of that city. The body was discovered by Calvin Troyer, who was plowing a field nearby. The girl had been sexually assaulted and stabbed a number of times. She apparently had been abducted from the home on East 10th Street in Hutchinson late Sunday night while her mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Richard LeShure, were away visiting relatives. They survive along with her father, Melvern Albright of Richmond, Va., and two brothers and one half-sister. The funeral was conducted Thursday at Elliott Chapel with Rev. John Nestor and Rev. Edward Yutzy of Haven officiating. Burial was made in the Yoder Mennonite Cemetery.
