Description: Darlington school children and teachers (there is a cleaner copy of this photo at 2003-0085)
Darlington group picture 1886-1887 (taken in 1887)
(One original source for these names is in the H. R. Voth papers (MS.21, box 14, copy book 2, pp. 694-695). Voth's numbering did not quite match the copy of the photo with red numbers written in; Voth numbered people in rows strictly from left to right, where the photo goes left to right, then right to left. There is a second list (source unknown) that mostly matches Voth's, but also matches the photo's system of numbering. The "I" and "me" references in some descriptions refer to Voth. Note that there are two versions of this photo&151; one with the dog at left sitting and one standing.)
