Description: Red Cross volunteers who managed a canteen on the west side of Main Street directly north of the Santa Fe railroad tracks. They served coffee and doughnuts to servicemen passing through Newton on troop trains during WWI. From left to right (Back Row); 1.) Betha M. Unruh, 2.) Mrs. J.H.
