— Charles Zuercher, 90, retired farmer of Benton, died Jan. 11 at Bethel Hospital here. The funeral was conducted Thursday afternoon, Jan. 14, at the Swiss Mennonite Church, Whitewater, with Rev. Arnold Ensz officiating. Mr. Zuercher was a native of Switzerland. He lived at Whitewater for some years, and in 1928 moved to the Benton community. Survivors include his widow, the former Emma Langenegger; one daughter, Marjorie, of Benton; four sons, Leslie of Benton, Ray of Orange, Calif., Dwight of Bluffton, Ind., and Floyd, serving in Colombia; two sisters, two brothers and five grandchildren.
