PAUL A. ZOOK

Paul A. Zook of Colorado Springs, Colo., son of John M. and Salina (King) Zook, was born Nov. 21, 1894 at Garden City, Mo. and died Aug. 10, 1972 at St. Francis Hospital in Colorado Springs.

At the age of four he moved with his parents to McPherson, Kan. where he grew to manhood. He attended school at Hesston, Kan. and was married to Ruth Shellenberger in 1924.

He served with the U.S. Army during World War One and after his discharge worked for the Postal Department for nine years. He spent his remaining years as a carpenter and cabinet maker in Colorado, in Seattle Wash. and the Los Angles area of California. He retired in 1953 due to a serious heart condition. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Pomona, Calif. at the time of his death.

He is survived by his widow Ruth E. Zook, a daughter, Mrs. Nadine Young and three grandchildren, all of Colorado Springs.

Funeral services were held in Colorado Springs at the Blunt Mortuary at 2:00 p.m. Aug. 14, 1972. Rev. James Snoke of the Ivywild United Presbyterian Church officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs.
