Bishop of Lancaster County Church Dies

Ephrata, Pa. — Weaver W. Zimmerman, 74, long-time bishop of the Weaver Mennonite Church, died at the home of his son, Noah Zimmerman, on Nov. 27. The funeral was held Dec. 1 at the Pike Church.

Bishop Zimmerman's death came just one day before the scheduled ordination of a bishop to take his place. the ordination was held, and Min. Martin S. Weaver was selected to head the church.
