Lancaster, Penna. — A recent accident at the David Zimmerman farm on Route 1, New Holland, resulted in the instant death of the 17-year-old son Wayne Zimmerman, when he fell into the rotating arms of a manure spreader.

Details of the accident are unknown, but the youth apparently started up the tractor and operated the spreader preparatory to cleaning and painting it. His mother, hearing the steady running of the tractor engine, went out to ivestigate [''sic''] and found her son's body pinned in the blades.

Funeral services were held at the Weaverland Mennonite church of which he was a member.

Youth Killed In Farm Accident

Lancaster, Penna. — A recent accident at the David Zimmerman farm on Route 1, New Holland, resulted in the instant death of the 17-year-old son Wayne Zimmerman, when he fell into the rotating arms of a manure spreader.

Details of the accident are unknown, but the youth apparently started up the tractor and operated the spreader preparatory to cleaning and painting it. His mother, hearing the steady running of the tractor engine, went out to ivestigate [sic] and found her son's body pinned in the blades.

Funeral services were held at the Weaverland Mennonite church of which he was a member.
